16 others, including TMC’s Shyamadas Bandopadhyay and Dr. Debashish Konar, also switched to Congress, marking a significant political shift

Two eminent Calcutta High Court lawyers, Swagata Bandopadhyay and Bishwarup Mukhopadhyay, have joined the Congress, along with AAP’s Sanjay Mukherjee from Tripura. Their induction marks a significant political shift ahead of upcoming elections.

Additionally, 16 others, including TMC leaders Shyamadas Bandopadhyay and Dr. Debashish Konar, along with Meghnad Ghosh, Sheikh Azizul, Munshi Safiqul Hasan, Ishad Mohammad, Asaf Ali, Bapan Das, and Yadav Adhikari, have joined Congress. Party leaders stated that these decisions were made after careful evaluation to strengthen Kharge’s leadership.
